Matsuri is a vibrant Japanese festival celebrating culture and friendship between Japan and Australia. Established in 2006 to commemorate 30 years of Japan-Australia relations, it has become a signature summer event in Sydney.
For the 2024 Matsuri, held at Ultimo’s Wentworth Park Sport Complex, I had the privilege of creating key publicity materials. These included designs showcasing the festival’s attractions, such as Japanese food stalls, traditional arts and crafts workshops, and captivating stage performances like taiko drumming and cosplay shows.
Contributing to this beloved celebration was an incredible experience, bringing Japanese culture closer to the Sydney community.
